Tower Crane Foundation Design

PCE prepared structural analysis and design of Heavy Duty Tower Crane foundation, supported on Micropile system, for construction of the Iconic High Rise Residential Building in the heart of Parramatta.

Because of the proximity to the deep excavation (less than 1.5m to shoring wall) and other site constraints, conventional foundation utilizing pad and large diameter piles was not feasible in this project.

PCE managed to prepare structural design of  this tower crane foundation in a short duration by using sophisticated Finite Element Analysis software, specifically made for this application, with the ability to incorporate Soil-Structure Interaction and  design Micropile System.

PCE is extremely proud to be one of the first Structural Engineering Consultancies in Australia to have successfully carried out structural design of Micropile Foundation to support a Tower Crane.
